HealthyNikah – Terms of Use
AGREEMENT TO TERMS
Welcome to HealthyNikah, a space created to help like-minded Muslim professionals find meaningful, halal connections. We want your experience to be safe, respectful, and positive.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) explain how our service works and what you agree to when you use it. Please take a few minutes to read them — we’ve kept them as clear and down-to-earth as possible.
By signing up or using HealthyNikah, you agree to these Terms. If anything here doesn’t sit right with you, please do not continue using the service.
1. WHO WE ARE
HealthyNikah is a matchmaking and introduction platform run under the trading name HealthyNikah (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
Our goal is simple: to help practising Muslims connect for marriage in a dignified, value-based way.
You can reach us anytime using the contact information on www.healthynikah.com or by directly messaging us on our social media pages.
2. USING HEALTHYNIKAH
To use the service, you must:
- • Be 18 years or older
- • Be genuinely looking for marriage (not dating or casual connections)
- • Provide honest and accurate information in your profile
Please use the platform respectfully — we operate a strict zero-tolerance policy towards objectionable content and abusive users (see Section 2A below).
2A. Zero-Tolerance Policy
HealthyNikah has zero tolerance for any of the following:
Objectionable Content
- • Sexually explicit material
- • Nudity
- • Violent imagery
- • Hate speech
- • Discriminatory language
- • Any content that is offensive, defamatory, or illegal
Abusive Behaviour
- • Harassment
- • Bullying
- • Threats
- • Stalking
- • Impersonation
- • Scams or fraud
- • Any conduct that makes another user feel unsafe or uncomfortable
Exploitation
- • Any attempt to exploit, manipulate, or deceive other users, particularly vulnerable individuals
Child Safety
- • Any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors in any way
- • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- • Grooming, trafficking, or any other form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
This platform is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and over.
Consequences
Any user found to be posting objectionable content, engaging in abusive behaviour, or violating child safety standards will be immediately suspended or permanently removed from the platform, without prior warning and without refund.
We will report such behaviour to the relevant law enforcement authorities and organisations such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where appropriate.
Reporting
If you encounter objectionable content or abusive behaviour, please report it immediately using the in-app report feature. We review all reports promptly and take action as necessary to maintain a safe community.
3. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
We take your privacy seriously.
- • Your data is yours — we’ll only use it to provide matchmaking and related services
- • We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- • We never sell your personal data
- • We may securely share limited data with vetted team members who help run the service (for example, admins or matchmakers)
- • You can ask for your data to be deleted anytime by emailing us
We do everything we reasonably can to protect your information — though no system is completely immune from risk.
4. WHAT HEALTHYNIKAH OFFERS (AND DOESN’T)
HealthyNikah helps introduce people who may be compatible, but we can’t guarantee that you’ll find a match or that every introduction will lead to marriage.
We do our best to maintain a respectful and authentic community, but we don’t carry out background checks or full vetting. The responsibility for due diligence — such as verifying information, seeking references, and ensuring compatibility — rests fully with you, your family, and anyone else you choose to involve.
We always encourage users to keep families, parents, and trusted elders or an imam involved throughout the process. Their guidance and oversight are an important part of a healthy and transparent nikah journey.
As with any important life decision, we also encourage you to complete the process of Istikharah before making a commitment, and to trust in Allah’s wisdom and timing in the process.
Always use your own judgment when communicating or meeting someone new, and take steps to ensure your safety and comfort at every stage.
5. MEETING SAFELY
We encourage everyone to keep things halal and sensible, based on Islamic principles.
If you decide to meet someone, do so in a public or supervised setting, let someone know where you’ll be, and never share financial or personal details early on. Involve your parents at every stage.
If someone behaves inappropriately or makes you uncomfortable, please report it to us immediately via the app or on our other widely available contact avenues.
6. FEES AND REFUNDS
- • All pricing and packages are shown clearly before you make payment
- • Fees are generally non-refundable, unless in exceptional cases (such as a technical issue or billing error)
- • We may adjust our prices or packages from time to time, but we’ll always make this clear before you renew or upgrade
7. YOUR ACCOUNT
- • Keep your login details private — you’re responsible for all activity under your account
- • You can deactivate or delete your account any time by contacting us
- • We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or misuse the service
8. CONTENT YOU SHARE
If you upload a profile photo or write about yourself, you give us permission to use that content only within HealthyNikah to help facilitate introductions and matchmaking.
You must have the right to share any photos or information you upload, and your content must not be offensive or misleading.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Everything on HealthyNikah — including our name, logo, website content, and tools — belongs to us. You can use it for personal purposes only and can’t copy or reuse it elsewhere without permission.
10. OUR RESPONSIBILITY
We want your experience to be positive, but:
- • We can’t control how other users behave or what they say
- • We’re not liable for emotional distress, data loss, or any indirect harm caused by using the service
- • Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence (as required by law)
HealthyNikah is here to support introductions — what happens beyond that is ultimately in your hands.
11. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
By using the service, you agree not to misuse it or harm others.
If your actions cause harm or loss to us or another user, you agree to take responsibility, including covering reasonable costs or damages.
12. CHANGES TO THE SERVICE
We may occasionally update features, make improvements, or adjust our policies.
If we make any major changes to these Terms, we’ll post an updated version here. Continued use means you accept the new Terms.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.
